I like to look at Mondays as a chance to press restart and get back on track with eating healthy, working out, and making sure I’m on track with my personal goals. By the time Friday rolls around, I’m typically ready for happy hour and some chips and queso because calories don’t count on the weekends…right? 🙂
A well spent Sunday to me includes Church first thing in the morning, brunch with the hubs, grocery shopping and cleaning the house so I can fully focus on my week. Lunches are prepped, dinners are planned and I’m ready to tackle that long list of to do’s by the time I get to work.
A quote that has stuck with me is from Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project, “Outer order contributes to inner calm.” It has stuck with me because I can totally relate. Although I hate to admit it, anytime my life feels out of whack all I have to do is look around and there’s most likely 24 pairs of shoes left downstairs or dishes in the sink. Ya feel me?
That being said, am I the only person feeling the time change this weekend? I woke up yesterday feeling well rested, but definitely needed a nap once 3pm rolled around. Which I took…and am now regretting because I could NOT sleep last night. Ugh. Give me that hour back!
On a positive note, I am so happy about the longer days! My favorite time of the year, Spring + Summer.
